Alcohol: 13.5% Location/appellation: Montecucco DOC Grape varieties: 100% Sangiovese Exposure: Southeast Altitude: 300 metres / 1000 feet above sea level Soil: Galestro (clay and shale) and terra rossa (clay produced by weathering of limestone) Vineyard Management & Training: Cordone speronato Vinification: Average age of the vineyards: 11 years. Natural fermentation without use of selected yeasts, 27 days of skin contact. Aged in oak casks. Smells & Tastes: Intense and brilliant ruby red. Complex and fragrant aromas ranging from red berry fruit to the spicy sensations of the oak casks. Elegant and austere on the palate at the beginning, evolving to a rich mouthfeel, brightened by acidity and grounded by tannins. Age-worthy.
